At Illinois Charity Pet Rescue, we’re dedicated to connecting loving homes with deserving animals. Our adoption process is straightforward and designed to ensure a smooth and joyful experience for both you and your new companion.
1 - Find a pet
The first step is to explore our current adoptable pets. You can view their profiles, learn about their personalities, and see their adorable photos. Take your time and see who captures your heart!”
2 - Apply to adopt pet
Once you’ve found a pet (or several!) you’re interested in, the next step is to complete our online adoption application. This application helps us understand your lifestyle, experience with pets, and what you’re looking for in a companion. This information allows us to ensure the best possible match for both you and the animal.
Please be honest and thorough in your responses. Our team carefully reviews each application to make the most informed decisions for the well-being of our rescued animals.
3 - Payments
Our adoption process includes a $100 adoption fee for dogs and $50 for cats, which helps us cover the costs of rescuing, caring for, and providing medical attention to the animals in our care.
Upon confirmation of your payment, the pet you’ve chosen will be officially reserved for you while we process the transfer of owner papers
Payment Methods
Our team will contact you to discuss the next steps, including payment. For your convenience, we currently accept the following payment methods:
* Zelle, Cashapp or ApplePay: A fast and secure digital payment service between banking institutions in USA. If you choose to pay via Zelle, CashApp or ApplePay, our representative will provide you with the necessary recipient information.
* Cash: We also accept cash if you are adopting in person directly at the shelter as all payments must be made directly to one of our cashiers.
4 - Welcome pet home
The final step is bringing your new companion home! We will work with you to arrange either a convenient pick-up time at our facility or, if necessary, discuss safe and reliable shipping options. Our team will provide you with any final care instructions and answer any questions you may have to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.
